This course will explore integration of technology in instruction through the lens of maker-centered learning. We will explore the benefits of maker-centered learning and examine the instructional designs and strategies that facilitate it. As a capstone experience, you will engage in design thinking, a process for creative problem solving, as you work to solve a problem in education.

Maker-centered learning is a framework we can use to develop in children key characteristics that are essential to success in school and life, such as: curiosity, creativity, collaboration, looking closely, intellectual openness, perseverance, and courage to act.

This course also develops your skill in a variety of technology tools including: AI tools (Google Gemini, Kahnmigo, Brisk, ChatGPT), Google Workspace for Education, hands-on robotics and STEM sets, digital whiteboards for collaboration.
