CJUS436-001-202640 Serial Killers I
This course offers an overview of the topic of serial homicide. From etiology of offending to victims and survivors, this course examines the research and testimonies associated with serial homicide. Students will gain a grounded understanding of how academics have approached the study of serial killers, mass murderers, and spree killers, predominantly within the US. Students will be exposed to how the media has reacted to and portrayed serial killers. The evolution of the study of serial homicide and the social construction of serial murder will be analyzed.
