Students will learn pre-hospital assessment, management, and referral process for patients of all demographics that are experiencing traumatic and/or life-threatening injuries and illnesses. Topics included are critical care assessment and management for emergent situations, plan of care and referrals, and emergency action planning. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be Louisiana Emergency Medical Responder certified and are eligible to sit for the national Emergency Medical Responder licensure examination. Student must possess current BLS certification card.
