Fundamental performance of biomaterials. Topics such as biological processes, developing biomedical instrumentation, and smart biomaterials will be covered. The emphasis also include structure-property-function relationship of various biomaterials such as polymers, ceramics, and metals. Students will be exposed to a highly interdisciplinary field and gain experience at the intersection of engineering and biological systems, advancing their scientific knowledge in specific areas.
