Romantic and passionate love is not a natural given of the human condition, it is a cultural phenomenon that has been created in the early stages of civilization and has become a subject of universal experience and fascination. The course will focus on the substantial French contribution to the evolution of love throughout the centuries and will make constant references to other cultures as well, including the USA. This course is comparative and interdisciplinary in nature. Students will get to know the most famous love stories of all times that have inspired literary masterpieces and fairy tales as well as great artists, folk legends, songs, musicians and filmmakers. We will discover surprising issues related to love and we will come to understand how this powerful feeling influenced contemporary behavior and created enduring myths that were among the great seminal ideas of the Western world.

A study of the advanced principles and concepts of anatomy and kinesiology. Emphasis will be placed on muscular skeletal articular nervous and vascular systems of extremities as related to functional movement in athletic injury mechanics.

In-depth exploration of therapeutic intervention techniques designed for upper extremity injuries. Students will examine evidence-based strategies for assessment, rehabilitation, and prevention of injuries involving the head, cervical spine, shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. Emphasis on manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and the use of modalities to optimize patient outcomes. Practical lab sessions will allow students to apply clinical reasoning and hands-on skills in designing comprehensive rehabilitation programs tailored to individual patient needs.

Machine analysis, synthesis, and design application of mechanisms, analytical stress and deflection methods as well as computer simulations and use of engineering materials will be used to design machine parts and systems.

Human behavior relative to consumer decision making including social and psychological theories of human behavior and theories/Models of communication. Students will apply consumer insights in the development of an effective marketing mix.

Examines the effectiveness of various social media platforms and evaluates the ways in which businesses and non-profits use social media marketing. Tools including platform-native analytics will be examined and applied in the development of integrated marketing communication campaigns.

Class will meet at Bourgeois Park.

Course is a continuation of Audio Recording Techniques. This lab will put into practice the techniques researched in the previous course. Each student will receive hands-on experience in the 16 track studio in all aspects of the professional studio.
