Assessment, diagnosis, and management of general medical conditions and medications that can be associated with different illnesses and diseases. This course is designed for students to recognize and refer patients with systemic diseases, behavioral health conditions, and co-morbidities; create a plan of care for general medical illnesses; recognize pharmacological agents; work with other healthcare providers; and educate patients and their support team.

Clinical experiences in the evaluation and treatment of lower extremity injuries. Students will deepen understanding and further develop skills in comprehensive lower body injury assessment, lower body rehabilitation techniques, therapeutic modality application, injury documentation, and patient care. Additional focus will be placed on using evidence-based medicine to inform patient care strategies and improve outcomes.

In-depth exploration of therapeutic intervention techniques designed for upper extremity injuries. Students will examine evidence-based strategies for assessment, rehabilitation, and prevention of injuries involving the head, cervical spine, shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. Emphasis on manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and the use of modalities to optimize patient outcomes. Practical lab sessions will allow students to apply clinical reasoning and hands-on skills in designing comprehensive rehabilitation programs tailored to individual patient needs.
