MLSC201-001-202720 Military Leadership and Ethics

Expansion of Cadet depth of knowledge of different leadership styles by conducting a leadership analysis of famous leaders, and a self-assessment of their own leadership style. Understanding of values and ethics, and how to apply both to various situations encountered as a leader in the Army. Includes discussions of the philosophy of military service, Army Values and Ethics, and their relationship to the Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC). Cadets are required to apply this knowledge during hands-on performance-oriented environments at the weekly lab facilitated by MS III Cadets, supervised by MS IVs and cadre.

MLSC101-001-202720 Introduction to the Army

Introduction to the Army, basic Soldier skills, and the Profession of Arms. Examination of the Army Profession and what it means to be a professional in the U.S. Army. Development of basic knowledge and comprehension of the Army Leadership Requirements Model, while gaining a complete understanding of the purpose and advantages of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program in the Army. Development as an Army leader by learning to perform basic Soldier skills for survival in field environments. Includes a weekly facilitated lab by MS III Cadets supervised by MS IVs and cadre.

MLSC301-010-202720 Army TNG MGMT & WFFs

Advanced analysis, testing, and relating the fundamentals of Training Management and how the Army operates through Warfighting functions. Includes planning, preparing, and executing training for a squad conducting small unit tactics. Weekly lab facilitation by peer MS III, overseen by MS IVs, and supervised by ROTC cadre.

MLSC401-001-202720 The Army Officer

Development of the Army Officer focusing on advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities to plan, resource, and assess training at the small unit level. Cadets learn to support the counseling of subordinates, evaluate performance, values and ethics, career planning, and legal responsibilities through Army programs. Successful planning, preparation, execution, and continuous assessment of the conduct of training at the company or field grade officer level. Includes a weekly lab overseeing MS III lesson facilitation, supervised by ROTC cadre.
