Overview of scholarship and theories in the sociology of gender. Special emphasis on social construction of gender at the individual, interactional, and institutional levels and influences on power and inequality. Examines intersectionalities.

Examination of a variety of local and international perspectives in archaeology, biology, culture or language. Addresses social and cultural issues in order to understand the application of anthropology. May be repeated for credit.
